Advice for Road Runners: The HOKA Men's Gaviota 5 Running Shoes are for runners seeking high cushioning and high stability. The Gaviota 5 proves that it is possible to have both soft cushioning and stable support.
Underfoot Feel
One of HOKA's most popular shoes is the HOKA Bondi. A lot of the Bondi's popularity has resulted from the significant amount of soft cushioning it provides. However, the Bondi are neutral running shoes. We've not gone off topic here. The point being made is that - with the Gaviota - you will experience cushioning similar to the Bondi, but obtain stability features found in the Gaviota.
A lot of the stability stems from HOKA's H-Frame™. The H-Frame sits on top of - and interlocks with - the midsole to create a secure base.
The outsole and the midsole are broad. Creating a lot of surface area and a stable base from which to land and push off from.
An early stage MetaRocker™ helps you to transition through the gait cycle with greater ease and efficiency. A MetaRocker™ creates curvature in the midsole - promoting forward movement.
Upper Fit
The creel jacquard mesh upper is very breathable, and features an ultra-plush heel collar for improved comfort. You should expect an accommodating fit.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
